Located in the uniquely preserved arts and crafts suburb of Bedford Park, Chiswick, Melbourne House was a significant property within the area in desperate need renovation. In order to breathe new life into this outstanding grade II Listed house major internal reconfiguration works were carried out, including a new external glass extension to the rear of the house. Listed Building Consent was also approved for an additional mansard roof extension, which is in keeping with the character of the house and the surrounding properties. The project was completed in 2011, while Hugo was working for Snell David Architects, as the project architect.
